Rising up the ranks in the international mixed martial arts scene, Egyptian fighter Ahmed “The Butcher” Amir is set for his 3rd appearance at Brave Combat Federation.

Gliding with an impressive 6 fight winning streak, Amir has secured a place for himself on one of the most anticipated fight cards this year, Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions. Having finished all of his fights by KO, TKO or submission, perhaps Amir’s performance at Brave CF 4 is especially worth mentioning. The Egyptian was able to shock the fans at Khalifa Sports City Arena by putting the Argentinian opponent Kevin Koldobsky to sleep, and marching forward with an undeniable victory, as well as a bone chilling execution. With such an entertaining performance in his back pocket, Ahmed Amir has further promoted his already notorious reputation as a finisher from the local Arab scene to the worldwide circuit.

Having fought in several weight divisions, Ahmed Amir’s upcoming bout will be at the lightweight division of Brave Combat Federation. Next in line for Ahmed Amir is Swedish opponent Erik Carlsson. Having also recently made his lightweight debut at Brave CF 6, Erik “The Last Viking” Carlsson has bounced off a quick and astonishing first round TKO victory against the Russian Gadzhimusa “Deadshot” Gadzhiev. However, Carlsson’s short work of Gadzhiev has been under-looked by Ahmed Amir, who is positive of scoring a finish over his Swedish opponent. “The Butcher” is looking beyond his upcoming battle and seems to be prospecting his next potential opponents, whom he thinks will either be the popular Mexican Alejandro Martinez or the undefeated Moroccan Ottman Azaitar, who will also be going to war at Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions for the lightweight title.

Ahmed Amir spoke his mind about all of the above in an interview he had with us.
Ahmed Amir:

“People know that they are un-lucky to be matched with me. They don’t call me The Butcher for no reason. Kevin Koldobsky was one of the easiest fights I’ve ever had and I put him to sleep. Ottman fought three rounds against Koldobsky and couldn’t finish him, yet now has the opportunity to fight for the lightweight title? I believe God has a plan for everyone. I will be next in line for a title shot against either Alejandro Martinez or Ottman Azaitar after I finish Carlsson”.

Though Ahmed Amir seems to have an unquestionably confident attitude about his future at Brave Combat Federation, Erik Carlsson is a serious obstacle that is standing in his way. Carlsson has all the capabilities to end Ahmed Amir’s winning streak and is certain that he more than just a stepping stone between his opponent and his potential title shot hopes.

After Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions, the clashes that are going to take place at the Brave Combat Federation lightweight division are going to be the next hottest thing in both news, call-out feuds and inevitably, fights!
