With all the glory and achievements by KHK MMA in 2016 the company is certainly still keen on fully supporting the global Amateur MMA scene. “Brave” President and CEO of KHK MMA Mohamed Shahid has announced yet another Amateur MMA Championship presented by KHK MMA: Bahrain Vs India on the 12th of January, 2017 in Bahrain.
This is the latest move from KHK MMA in supporting the growth of amateur athletes by providing a platform for amateur fighters to constantly keep improving and showcasing their talents.
The purpose behind such events is to increase the opportunities for Bahraini and Indian athletes in the cage said Mohammed Shahid.
The event is the second of its kind welcoming Indian athletes who will be matched up with local Bahraini amateurs looking to move forward in their young careers. This event also acts as a preparation for the fighters looking to take part in the 2017 IMMAF AMATEUR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS which will be held in Bahrain.
With that being mentioned, IMMAF Worlds Bronze Medalist Fahad Abdulrazaq will take part of this show along side 2015 IMMAF European Open Bronze medalist Hussein Mahdi Maki. Also on the card is Highness Sheikh Khalid who will make his second cage appearance, this time in the lightweight division!
Shahid also said:
“The focus of the event is to guide and nurture the talent in a protected environment where the interests of the fighters are protected. At the moment there is no initiative as organized, funded and supportive as KHK MMA in the entire world. The grand vision of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa encompasses cultural exchange and relationship building between India and Bahrain through the sport of Mixed Martial Arts. Our working relationship with future legends, world class training facilities and hall of famers is a testimony that reciprocates this vision. We would love to identify future prospects for Brave Combat Federation and guide them in the right direction. What we need to emphasize is that these projects are designed to fulfill a long term vision as a sustainable global MMA promotion”.
