After an intense week of worldwide announcements, Brave Combat Federation gets ready to make its much-awaited African debut, with Brave 14 less than a week away. In a main card that promises to be historic, fight fans are wondering what to watch out for at the August 18th event, set for The Omnisports Indoor Club, in Tangier, Morocco.

From the new main event, featuring Morocco’s hero Ottman Azaitar to pivotal clashes at Welterweight and Bantamweight, unmissable action is expected for Moroccan and worldwide fans.

Next, we break down what’s at stake in each of the five main card fights for Brave 14.

Ottman Azaitar x Danijel Kokora

After weeks of intense expectation, Brave was pleased to announce that Lightweight champion Ottman Azaitar was indeed going to perform in his own country. “The Bulldozer” will move up to Welterweight especially to make sure Moroccan fight fans catch him in action as he takes on veteran Danijel Kokora in the main event.

With a professional record 16-13, “Vitez” Kokora has been on a tear lately, winning his last four bouts and will certainly look to make an impression on Brave fans. Fighting out of Serbia, he is the latest fighter to take advantage of Brave’s global appeal as he will make his international debut on August 18th.

Champ Azaitar meanwhile will look to stay undefeated as he gets back to the Brave cage for the first time since capturing the inaugural Lightweight belt in November of last year.

Jeremy Kennedy x Danyel Pilò

Former UFC fighter Jeremy Kennedy will make his promotional debut against Italy’s Danyel Pilò in a bout that can determine the next fighter in line for a title shot at Featherweight. “JBC” has been sharpening his skills in the world-class facilities of Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas and has already said he plans to fight for Elias Boudegzdame’s belt this year.

Pilò, on the other hand, is finally making his international debut after years of mastering his craft in the growing Italian MMA scene. At 30 years old and with a 10-1-2 overall MMA record, the Italian star is ready to earn his fifth straight victory, in what would certainly be a career-defining win for him.

Sidney Wheeler x Abdoul Abdouraguimov

In a clash between USA and Dagestan, Welterweights Sidney Wheeler and Abdoul Abdouraguimov will look to make an impression in a division that has been labeled as the most stacked in Brave Combat Federation.

Wheeler is coming off an impressive victory over fellow contender Pawel Kielek and will look to go 2-0 and thrust himself into title contention with a dominant win over French-Russian Abdouraguimov, who makes his Brave debut and will try to stay undefeated – he has a professional record of 7-0-0 1 NC.

Arnold Quero x Felipe Efrain

Bantamweights Arnold Quero and Felipe Efrain are set to clash in Morocco, but both men have one eye set on divisional champion Stephen Loman. The Filipino star defended his title with a dominant victory over Frans Mlambo at Brave 13 and will certainly be on the look-out for this Brave 14 featured bout.

Quero is coming off a decision victory in his Brave debut when he went to Brazil to face local star Caio Gregório and walk away with his hand raised. After his win, “Silverback” admitted he would love to face another Brazilian soon.

And he immediately got his wish as Felipe Efrain stepped up. Owner of the KO of The Year award in 2017, the world-class striker wants to bounce back after his first promotional loss, at the hands of Mlambo and wants Quero as the latest victim of his heavy hands.

Velimurad Alkhasov x Sean Santella

Flyweight has recently caught the attention of Brave officials as the promotion added quite a few talents for the up and coming 57 kg. division. Chief amongst them are Velimurad Alkhasov and Sean Santella, who face each other in the opening bout of Brave 14’s main card.
