Daniel Swain (16-7), the “Ginger looking to Injure” from American Kickboxing Academy, is flying from America to Bahrain with a huge obstacle waiting for of him.
That obstacle is the undefeated Brazilian Alex Da Siva (17-0) whom he will face at Brave 2 on December 2nd.

At 25-years-old, Swain is a young mixed martial artist, still leaning with every win and defeat.
He’s looking to raise his stock in the world of mixed martial arts and was handed this opportunity by Brave. Yet, he must beat “Leko”, the fighter who has finished all 17 of his opponents by knockout or submission.

The way Swain sees it, Silva may have an impressive record, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he has faced high-level opposition.
He said:

“He’s a pretty tough kid, he’s fought a lot of guys in a short amount of time. But he hasn’t fought the caliber of fighters I have fought. So i’m going to drag him into deep water, show him what a real fight is.”

Despite his young again, Swain has fairly big record. With 16 wins and 13 finishes to his name, he’s by far the toughest test that Da Silva will have ever faced.
Da Silva’s has only ever fought in his home country.  Many of his previous opponents, unlike Swain, have unimpressive records.

Yet “Leko” faced his toughest opponent in his last outing, a fighter with a winning record and absolutely bludgeoned him for six minutes. He put on a brutal striking clinic before the referee stopped the fight in the second.
Despite this, Daniel Swain, who has eight wins via submission, is confident he can impose his ground game upon the Brazilian. He predicts handing him his first defeat.

“I’m going to use my wrestling, put him on his back, and probably grind him out for the majority of the fight until he gives me a submission or the referee pulls me off him.”

Swain also had a message for the fans in Bahrain and for Brave.

He added: “I want to thank Brave for inviting me over to fight, I’m excited to see Bahrain and put on a show for all the fans. I can’t wait for the travel and the weight-cut to be over so I can eat some of your delicious food.
Thank you for having me guys.
