We’re just a few days away from the much anticipated premiere of Al Batal 2 on Saturday September 27 at 17:30 KSA on Fox Movies. With the intended vision of delivering a more raw and character driven season, Al Batal 2 shines more light on the reality of the fighters themselves.
That being said, one of the most debatable candidates to join the adventure is Bandar Yazan Al Saadoun; The Saudi lightweight ill-famed for his unsportsmanlike performance in the previous Desert Force Al Academiya.
Saadoun was disqualified from Al Academiya for using some unconventional tactics to hurt the lightweight Elie El Rayess. The incident wasn’t a first for Bandar, as he had previously delivered a discourteous bite to opponent Ali Alhadi in an earlier episode of the show, giving him a perfect opportunity to make his TKO finish against the Iraqi.
Today, the Saudi MMA fighter has joined Al Batal talent scouts to prove that he wasn’t “that guy”. Win or lose, Al Batal 1 fighters have lived a meaningful experience through which they learned more about themselves than fighting and competing in mixed martial arts. Will we see the different side of Bandar on September 27?
