Cedar Fighting Championship has announced its first professional bout scheduled for CFC 1 Fight Card this April. The hot bantamweight prospect Georges Bardawil (2-0) will make his return after more than a year to face Indian’s Dhruv Chaudhary.
Chaudhary boasts a professional record of 5 wins and 2 losses under India’s premiere promotion (SFL) Super Fight League. Currently riding a 4 win streak, all finishes, Chaudhary’s latest appearance was in March 2015 when he defeated Navjot Chahal at Super Fight League 39. This will be his first MMA fight outside South Asia.
Bardawil is a hugely popular fighter in the Arab region. With two significant performances as a professional along with holding Desert Force’s Al Academiya title, this fighter was looked at as one of the best homegrown talents in Lebanon. Representing Tristar Lebanon, Bardawil finished his first professional fight in stylistic fashion submitting his opponent via Kimura, after trapping him in a triangle. In his latest appearance in March 2015, he dominated Ahmed Makki, ending the fight via TKO in the 3rd.
CFC 1 will take place at PLATEA, Sahel Alma on April 28, the promotion will hold three events this year. All three events are expected to be held in Lebanon with the hope that the events will be televised locally on MTV in Lebanon.
