Desert Force MMA Championship comes to IPIC Arena in Abu Dhabi, UAE this September for the promotion’s 24th installment with the main card streaming live to MBC Action.
No official fight card has been announced, but a bantamweight title fight between Nawras Abzakh (4-0) and Jalal Al Daaja (3-1) is targetted for this event.
Currently sporting a four-fight winning streak, undefeated Nawras Abzakh has 4 out of 7 career wins by 1st round submission (amateur/pro), and is finally getting his shot at the vacant bantamweight title.
Abzakh, the Jordanian who successfully kicked off his pro-career at Cage Warriors made his promotional debut at Desert Force in May 2015 where he submitted Abdel Ali Al Hariri with style in the first round. Originally a flyweight, Nawras went on to defeat Abdullah Mohammad Ali and Ahmad Makki making it a point that he can handle the bigger guys.
Hi opponent Jalal Al Daaja, also from Jordan, is riding a three-fight winning streak, with his most recent being a unanimous victory at Desert Force 23 in Lebanon. In his first appearance at Desert Force, Al Daaja topped Ali Qaisi at Desert Force 17 to earn his first professional win. He then went on to submit Ahmed Fares a Desert Force 21 with an impressive Rear-Naked-Choke. Al Daaja’s only defeat came at the hands of US opponent Jason Carbajal (7-3) in his professional debut at Gladiators fighting championship.
