Phoenix 6 fighter list is growing by the day. You want to know what we’re talking about? Well, here are the latest fighters announced to take part of the event in Abu dhabi.
Delivering a devastating one punch KO at Phoenix 1, Pavel Kusch makes his return to Phoenix FC. Pavel is the 1st ranked MMA welterweight fighter in Ukraine and has an impressive 22 wins with a current streak of 9 straight victories. His opponent is yet to be determined, but it’s good to see the KO artist back in action again at Phoenix 6 in Abu Dhabi.
Former UFC fighter Hayder Hassan’s last contest at Phoenix 4 Dubai did not play out as as imagined. In his bout against Roger Huerta, Hassan landed an illegal elbow to the back of his opponent’s head and forced the referee to rule the fight as a disqualification loss for him as a result. Now, he’s put this unfortunate incident of the past behind and he’s back to work his way up the welterweight ladder of Phoenix FC.
Former Desert Force champion, Mostafa Rashed has also joined the list of names and will be part of the Phoenix 6 fight card. Rashed lost his title in a pendulum like back and forth match-up against Osama Al Seady, after he had previously defeated the Egyptian. Now, who knows? Maybe a rubber match lies somewhere in the future of these fighters. Al Seady will also be on the card and has a tough upcoming fight against Sami Antar.
Having fought both in Bellator and the UFC, Sirwan Kakai is yet another top-level fighter added. Though his opponent is still yet unknown, the Phoenix FC President, Mr. Chahe Yerevanian, is confident that Kakai has all the potential to make it all the way to grab the bantamweight title of the promotion.
Last but not least, Walid Seghir (5-2), regionally known for his Al Batal title, and his lethal submission skills, is the latest addition announced by Yerevanian. Seghir will fight in the featherweight division.
Only 2 fights have been officially announced for the April 5 event in Abu Dhabi.
