Home to some of the region’s top talent in combat sports, Lebanon is set to host the Middle East’s very first martial arts festival this month. The event spans over two days, Friday September 25 and Saturday September 26, and takes place at the Martyr’s square in Downtown Beirut.
The festival features a spectacular show and performances by the famed Shaolin Monks, world champions in Karate, Kung Fu, Taekwondo, Nunshaku, Judo, Wushu and Jiu Jitsu, more than 70 professional athletes, 130 lebanese champions, and the Lebanese Army Special Forces.
Held under the patronage of the Tourism Ministry, the event aims to teach youths how to master their body and mind, and overcome weaknesses while learning compassion and mercy.
Who other than “The Ninja” Sayfco Holding could we think of to be a supporter of such acts? After bringing Desert Force to Beirut and offering a 1 million dollar grand prize, Sayfco steps in again as a main sponsor to the “Martial Arts Festival”, an event expected to bring the hugest martial arts exhibit to the Middle East.
While stressing on Martial Art’s positive influence on personal growth, the organizer Sensei Toufic Kawar from TRAK Development calls for this event to become a yearly festivity in Beirut the way it is in other world capitals.
