“The Latest” Mohammad Fakhreddine announced his return to the cage in a dramatic fashion on Friday night in his promotional debut with Brave Combat Federation.

Fakhreddine (9-1) hadn’t competed in 10 months since he faced Aniss Al Hajjajy at Desert Force 23. He was then set to headline the Brave 1 event in September before injury forced him to pull out.

The Lebanese welterweight walked into the co-main event of Brave 4: Unstoppable in Abu Dhabi to bust up the head of Brazilian opponent Marcus Vinicius Cruz and force a doctor’s stoppage 3 minutes 37 seconds into the second round.

In a dominant first round, Fakhreddine manhandled Vinicius nearly finishing him in the opening minutes. Yet, two groin shots in the first stanza sent Fakhreddine into agonizing pain. The second, just moments before the bell, was crushing that it made everyone cringe.

Fakhreddine got his revenge in round 2 after dropping the Brazilian and landing a flurry of nasty elbows to the temple. Credit Vinicius for lasting as long as he did, Fakhreddine jumped on him and threw at least a dozen of punches and elbows and continued unloading with more ground-and-pound that got the blood flowing from the head of his foe.

With Vinicius’s blood leaking everywhere, the cage-side doctor made a quick decision to end the bout. What a way to make a comeback and promotional debut for “The Latest”.

Brave 4 Unstoppable was headlined by the promotion’s first title fight which was earned by Elias Boudegzdame, in a historical battle that left the crowd excited form the opening minute. The full card card witnessed breathtaking battles, especially from Arab fighters who made a huge statement. With that being said, check out one of the best round that we’ve seen in MMA between the winner Ottman Azaitar and UK’s Charly Leary.
