Mohammad Fakhreddine Vs Aniss Al Hajjajy To Co – Headline Desert Force 23

After winning the Desert Force interim welterweight title back in January (Desert Force 20), Mohammad Fakhreddine was expected to face the current champ, Mounir Lazzez, for the unified Desert Force welterweight title at a later date. However, Lazzez has not yet recovered from his latest injury , and he will remain sidelined until 2017.

Mohammad Fakhreddine will now defend his interim title at Desert Force 23 in his home country against the former welterweight champion Aniss Al Hajjajy.

Fakhreddine will put his belt on the line against former welterweight champion Aniss Alhajjajy in the co-main event of Desert Force 23, the organization announced on Saturday. The show will take place on May 30 in Ghazir stadium, Lebanon.

In the main event, middleweight champion Mohamed karaki will defend his Desert Force middleweight title for the first time against Yacine Bandaoui.

Fakhreddine (7-1) has fought 8 times under the Desert Force banner, finishing 5 of his 7 fights via KO/TKO. His lone loss came against Jarrah Al Selawi at Desert Force 15, who he then defeated in a rematch for the interim title. Since then, Fakhreddine has won three consecutive fights and snatched the interim shield.

Al Hhajjajy (9-5) has competed in both the lightweight and welterweight division. He currently rides a 4 win streak, with his latest win coming via submission at Desert Force 20 against Christofer Silva.

The rumors are now real and the fight will happen in 20 days!
