The first fight for Phoenix 6 has been booked, and it’s a middleweight title fight! Phoenix Fighting Championship president Chahe Yerevanian has announced “Mohammad Karaki Vs Salaheddine Dekhissi” on his official facebook page.
Mohammad Karaki (8-0-0) is 2 division Desert Force Champion, and has made his Phoenix debut at Phoenix 4 where he battered Alaa Mansour in the first round. The Brazilian Jiujitsu brown belt owns a clean record and multiple impressive performances, finishing 7 out of his 8 fights inside the first round. Karaki has been a submission machine his entire career, but he’ll face a grappler this March with similar credentials and a devastating finishing style on the ground.
Despite nearly two years elapsing, Salaheddine Dekhissi (5-2-0) has not forgotten he was set to fight for the title against Mohammad Karaki, an opponent he always knew he would see again. Yet, to win the Phoenix Fighting Championship middleweight title, Salaheddine Dekhissi has to go through the fighter many consider to be one of the greatest in the region. Salaheddine Dehkissi is running a three fight winning streak with 4 of his 5 wins coming by way of submission. So if this fight hits the ground, don’t blink, because these two are more than capable of some of the best grappling you’ll ever witness.
Phoenix 6 takes place Dubai, UAE, this March. Stay tuned as we bring you the latest on Phoenix 6.
