Tahar Hadbi goes off on ‘Pathetic’ Fakhreddine, AGAIN !

Tahar Hadbi goes off on Welterweight division, says he’s one fight away from title shot

Algeria’s Tahar Hadbi has been patiently waiting for a fight announcement since his controversial bout with former title challenger Carl Booth ended in No Contest at Brave 5: Go For Glory. Recently, Hadbi took matters into his own hands, announcing his participation in Brave’s upcoming event in Bahrain, scheduled for November. The Welterweight hopes that a win in his next fight will set him up for a title shot against current champion Carlston Harris.

Apart from Harris, though, “Fast Hands” is unimpressed with Brave’s Welterweight division and went off on “unprofessional” Mohammad Fakhreddine, who fell sick during his weight cut for Brave 8 and was unable to compete, giving place to “Moçambique”, who dominated his former foe inside five rounds.

“Brave 8 was a big event and for this kind of event, you need professional fighters. I mean, you can’t miss weight every time, especially for a title fight. Fakhreddine didn’t make weight in his last fights, which was pathetic. Anyway, I hope he had great holidays in Brazil… The only real fighter there was Harris, who was only ready for three rounds but accepted a last minute five round match against a guy who was ready for five rounds and just dominated. Congratulations to Carlston, he deserved it”, says Hadbi, who guarantees he’s only one fight away from a title shot.

“The scenario is simple. I want the belt so I need a big and clear win in my next fight. And then I hope Brave will give me the opportunity to fight the champ. I’m a competitor, all I want is to prove that I’m the best in one of the most important promotions in the world”.

Hadbi is the first one to admit the frustration he felt after Brave 5, but claims that it’s all behind him now as he gears up to fight in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Welterweight promised to bring fireworks to his next fight and vows to show why his nickname is “Fast Hands”.

“I want to thank everyone for their support and I want to make sure everyone tunes into my next fight. I promise it’s going to be explosive. I’m ultra motivated for this one. I’m ready to put on a show and show the fastest hands in the division
