ArabsMMA’s own Zahi Ephrem caught up with “The Moroccan Sensation” Anas Siraj Mounir at Team Nogueira Dubai ahead of his fight this December 22nd at Phoenix 4.
Phoenix 4 for will take place at the Dubai World Trade Center and will be headlined by a welterweight bout between Mounir Lazzez and Christophe Van Dijck. In the co-main event, Moise Rimbon meets Pavel Doroftei for the Phoenix MMA inaugural light heavyweight championship.
When asked to share his thoughts on his matchup against Alfie Davis, Mounir regarded the Englishman as a pure talent ready to do whatever it takes to top his near perfect career:
“Alfie Davis is a great matchup, he is 8-1 pro. Davis is a hungry kid, and technically amazing.”
Yet, “The Moroccan Sensation” believes his experience will win against the younger Davis:
“Davis has got endurance and stamina, yet I believe my experience will come into play. He’s an awesome fighter, however all those flashy kicks were done against terrible fighters.”
“I am training with some of the best guys out there: Mounir Lazzez, Moise Rimbon, and I am training at Team Nogueira Dubai, the best martial arts facility in the Middle East, so I will be ready for that fight.”
Checkout the above interview where Mounir talks about his much wanted fight against Youssef Wehbe, his next fight at Phoenix 4, and training at Team Nogueira Dubai.
