Seems like the Tunisian has an intense determination to grow and mature as a fighter! Bechir Majri is planning to make a big comeback in 2014. Majri has made his way to Lebanon to train at Tristar Gym/ Coach Wissam Abi Nader taking his training to another level and sparring with some of the best fighters in Beirut! Such an environment and training program is unique in our area, separate classes be it BJJ, Wrestling, Striking, SnC … all what a fighter needs for a complete fight camp!
Majri is considered one of the biggest forces in the welterweight division even after losing his fight against Anis Al Hajjajy (the current crowned Champ) in Desert Force Semi’s. Majri was then scheduled to fight Anas Siraj Mounir but was forced to pull out of Desert Force “Vs The World” due to shoulder injury at his training camp.
However during his last interview with ArabsMMA, Majri mentioned:
Aniss surely earned the win but am coming after Aniss once I have adopted my strategy to face him again. You’ll see!
This could mean that the winner/loser from the upcoming welterweight “Al academiya” Finale could be a good opponent for whoever has his eye on a title shot this year!
On another note, Majri’s visit served well some of the fighters at Tristar Gym as they get ready for their upcoming fight in Desert Force next week in Amman, Jordan. Elie El rayyis and Silvester Saba will surely gain from Bechir’s experience and sparring abilities. Surely a well timed trip if you ask me!
