MMA X AJP
Two of Egypt’s top MMA athletes, Ahmed Faress, and Eslam Syaha, recently competed in the UAE Warriors Africa MMA event. Each of them secured impressive victories. In their corner and also featured in the video below is Ahmed Amir, Brave MMA Lightweight champion who in turn talked highly about AJP’s expansion to Egypt.
It was just a few hours before their fights, the fighters took time out to speak with ArabsMMA reporter Zahi Phram about their upcoming appearance at the Egypt National Jiu-Jitsu Championship, where they plan to compete on March 3-4 in Cairo.
Despite the added pressure of preparing for two big events, the fighters were calm and collected, highlighting their experience as OG’s of Middle East MMA. They expressed their excitement about competing in Jiu-Jitsu on a platform such as AJP, and in Egypt making it special for them.
Was it good luck for being nice and giving the interview to Zahi or is hard work paying off?
UAE WARRIORS SUCCESS of Egypt’s top MMA athletes
Both fighters, who are Egypt’s top MMA athletes, went on to win their respective fights at UAE Warriors last Friday. Eslam Syaha def. Zaakir Badat via Unanimous Decision and Ahmed Faress went on to win by a beautiful arm triangle submission against Cedric Doyle.
Ahmed Faress, Ahmed Amir, and Eslam Syaha are truly among the best MMA athletes to come out of Egypt and the region, and we look forward to seeing them continue to compete and excel in both MMA and jiu-jitsu.
