Khabib Nurmagomedov has made an impact on martial arts that goes beyond only competing inside the cage. The former and longest-reigning UFC lightweight title holder put his name to use when promoting both fights and a healthy lifestyle. The latter is exampled with an announcement of the upcoming opening of Khabib Gym by Palms Sports located on Yas Island.
As stated on the gym’s official website, it is a world-class fitness facility, that offers a wide range of training options. From state-of-the-art cardio and weight training equipment to invigorating group fitness classes, as well as personalized private training sessions and comprehensive nutrition and wellness coaching.
Khabib Gym also has something for martial arts practitioners, as gym members can train in the following disciplines: MMA, wrestling, boxing, Muay That, and BJJ. The facility caters to both youth and adults.
The facility is a joint venture of Khabib Nurmagomedov and Palms Sports. Palm Sports is a UAE-based company, which specializes in promoting BJJ and MMA in the region. It provides training programs to raise awareness and participation in combat sports competitions. Palm Sports’ goal is to make Abu Dhabi a worldwide hub for combat sports, focusing on both Brazilian Jiu – Jitsu and MMA.
Khabib Nurmagomedov has posted a video on the topic of opening. The Dagestanian fighter said that he’s happy that the facility is located in Abu Dhabi, which is like a second home to him. The MMA legend has also thanked Palm Sports’s participation in the project.
