-Mohammed Ali, we heard that you were in Beirut. How was your visit to Lebanon? What was the reason of your visit to Shogun Gym?
My visit to Beirut was great, met a lot of good people and enjoyed my time. The main purpose of the visit was training with some of the best MMA fighters in the region at Shogun gym. I recently joined their team and will be fighting out of Team Shogun at my next fight in GFC 4.
-Shogun is very well known for their striking abilities, how did u manage to work your ground game?
As you all know, Shogun is the home of Mhamad karaki Desert Force light heavy weight champ! We had private sessions were we had intensive BJJ session and drills especially for my next fight. Also while i was at shogun , Master Sami managed to invited 3rd Degree Black belt Eduardo Machado who conducted a seminar! That was a great experience for me being surrounded by such instructors!
-Who is your next opponent in the upcoming GFC ?
Well, I am not sure about his name, but I was told he’s an Australian with a 2-0 record. Right now I am concentrating on my training and who ever he was, and whatever skills he possesses I’ll be ready.
-Now that you left Beirut, what are your pre-fight plans?
I will be competing in a grappling tournament in Kuwait, which will surely be helpful to test whatever skills I have learned in Beirut and keep me more focused on my Goal. I will surely get back to training with Coach Tarek Borjas to maintain my striking abilities before my next MMA fight !
