Another big name added to Challenge MMA 2 fight card! Alongside fellow Lebanese/Canadian fighter Aiemann Zahabi, Nabil “The Thrill” Khatib (11-10) will be facing Lloyd Galindo in Challenge MMA 2 (Challenge MMA “Think Big” will take place on the 17th of August at Centre Pierre Charbonneau).

Nabil “The Thrill” Khatib has been fighting for a remarkably long time, he fought kickboxing for a while and trained under Jean-Yves Theriault in Canada. He’s currently a 4th degree black belt in Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, Team Canada Kickboxing back in the day, and a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Robert Drysdale.

Nabil had trained with Fabio Holanda and BTT Canada at the beginning, and that’s where it all began. Tristar gym has been there for Nabil from day one, training with great fighters such as David “The Crow” Loiseau, Denis Kang, Rory MacDonald, Mark Bocek, Georges St. Pierre, Mike Ricci, Miguel Torres, Ryan Ford, Francis Carmont, John Makdessi, Ivan Menjivar, Patrick Cote, Nordine Taleb, Nick Denis, Kajan Johnson.

Nabil Khatib to ArabsMMA:

I’ve been training with Firas Zahabi for about 8 years now. I train with Aeimann as well, he’s a really good guy. They’re all a really good group to work with.
My parents came to Canada when they were in their 20’s. I was born here; I have 1 brother and 3 sisters.
I’m THE ONLY ONE IN MY FAMILY THAT EXERCISES! lol, let alone, doing what I do. I don’t know why I love this sport, I just do.
And I DO SPEAK ARABIC 😉 just can’t write!
I hope to visit Lebanon soon and I would really like to fight there as well!

Nabil Khatib currently leads Team Bushido MMA, one of the top Mixed Martial Arts, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Gi and No Gi, International Style Kickboxing and Sport Conditioning fitness centers in the Ottawa the area with around 210 members in his school.
