“The Professional Fighters League announces our elevated partnership with Takedown, the leader in combat sports apparel, to provide our world-class Bellator Champions Series fighters with exceptional quality and design,” said PFL CEO Peter Murray.
As a part of the deal Takedown will create official Bellator fight kits specially designed for all Bellator Champions Series Athletes. The deal is crucial for PFL as UFC has partnered with Venum and BRAVE CF partners with Top Ten.
“Takedown partners with Bellator to elevate the look and feel of fighters in the cage and fans across the world,” said Dustin Kawa, Takedown Founder and CEO. “As an athlete, coach, and entrepreneur dedicated to growing the combat space, I believe this partnership will use Takedown’s industry expertise and Bellator’s elite global platform to create a movement that will change the MMA world forever.”
PFL MENA will begin in April as a sub-division of PFL’s main brand with a million-dollar total prize purse. PFL MENA is scheduled as a sports season-style league ranking as opposed to traditional MMA formats. A 32-fighter roster for the competition alongside a full calendar of events has been announced. PFL has confirmed that the competition will run a four-event inaugural season. The league is backed by SRJ Sports Investments, the sports-focused investment vehicle launched in 2023 by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, which put $100 million into PFL MENA as well as PFL’s ‘Super Fight’ pay-per-view (PPV) division.
