ArabsMMA’s Zahi Ephrem catches up with world famous Jiu-Jitsu legend Renzo Gracie at the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship currently taking place at the Mubadala Arena, in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
As a 6th degree black belt, member of the Gracie family has been there from the starting days of the Abu Dhabi World Pro’s, and for him, it’s his family’s dream come true. Renzo Gracie:
“It’s a dream come true. I see Jiu-Jitsu in the olympics soon, thanks to these guys.”
On the level of competition, Renzo Gracie said:
“The Abu Dhabi World Pro is the most organized Jiu-Jitsu competition. The guys are doing a pristine class one job”
This year, the Abu Dhabi World Pro brings the 2018 King of Mats competitions from a prestigious list of 35 Abu Dhabi World Pro Champions. Renzo Gracie:
“They keep evolving, the King of Mats is bringing unbelievable fighters. Andre Galvao is in the house, Gianni Grippo is in the house, it’s going to be very interesting to watch”
