Regarded as one of the best grapplers on the Arab MMA scene, Aniss Al Hajjajy has displayed elite skills at the Canada National Pro Jiu-Jitsu Championship, Montreal snatching a gold medal and earning his way to the famed Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu Jitsu Championships 2016. The Moroccan black-belt’s achievement earned him a travel package to the World Pro’s taking place in Abu Dhabi this upcoming April.

This victory follows his latest MMA performance at Desert Force MMA Championship in the UAE where he locked in a tight Kimura against Brazilian opponent Christofer Silva, raising his streak to four consecutive wins in the promotion.

The Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship is set to return and bring a smashing finish to the 2015/2016 Jiu-Jitsu sport season, setting a new international standard in sports entertainment in its landmark eighth edition. Fan favourites and new challengers from across the world will descend on the global capital of Jiu-Jitsu, Abu Dhabi, from 15th-23rd April 2016 with a newly added Awards ceremony, introduced by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, taking place on 24th April exclusively for competition winners and invitees.

Organised by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, the Championship will deliver 10 days of unmatched action and family attractions in an event which has become a pillar of the UAE and wider region’s sports calendar. The newly expanded event will return to Abu Dhabi’s state of the art IPIC Arena in Zayed Sports City, a venue which will once again play host to thousands of the world’s best players from more than 100 countries.
