Brave Combat Federation dropped a teaser for a possible title fight between two of the best fighters in the Brave lightweight division. The bout was proposed between current lightweight champion Ottman Azaitar and Abdul Kareem Al-Selwady. Ottman Azaitar is the top mixed martial artist in the region with an undefeated career record of 11 straight wins out of which he won eight by way of knockouts. Meanwhile Abdul Kareem Al-Selwady who is hailed as the Pride of Palestine, is on a five fight win streak and has nine wins in his ten fight career. Both fighters are undefeated in each of their four appearances in Brave Combat Federation.

The internet went wild supporting this matchup including the support from none other than His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The idea was also backed by some of the fighters active in Brave Combat Federation. Last but not least, Husam Mubarak Al-Selwady, father of Abdul Kareem Al-Selwady commented in public forum supporting the fight with a BIG YES!
“I consider Ottman Azaitar a brother to Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady, and I have a very special deal of love and respect towards the Azaitar family, but at the end this is just sport, and I look at this fight like another sparring drill between teammates. Big yes from me.” said Husam Mubarak Al-Selwady.
The champion Ottman Azaitar remains silent and had not officially responded to the proposed title challenge.
