AbdulKarim Al-Selwady sparked up the Lebanese MMA scene with a surprise visit to Lebanon. The Al-Academiyya head coach landed in Beirut last week, accompanied by his father, trainer and manager Husam Mubarak Al-Selwady.
While the champion hinted about his intention to tour Lebanese MMA clubs, the main purpose of his visit was the signing up of a sponsorship agreement with none other than Mind Spike!
This new partnership adds a valuable asset to the already impressive Mind Spike team: Mohammad ‘The Latest’ Fakhreddine, Georges ‘Bulldozer’ Eid and Mohammad ‘O Lutador’ Karaki.
Selwady, who is the red team’s coach in Al Academiya, airing every Monday on MBC Action, will be defending his title for the second time in Desert Force Al Academiya 2 FINALE this December.
Mind Spike ensured the best will be made out of his trip by organizing a full training schedule in a variety of venues such as Tristar, Shogun, Tiger Muay Thai and Level 8. The main goal is to exchange knowledge and experience with local fighters and trainers.
