During his visit to Team Nogueira in Dubai, former Interim UFC Heavyweight Champion Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira who has been always impressed by Mounir Lazzez’ performnce states that “The Sniper” has got what it takes to fight in the big league.

I see that this kid has a big heart. We see a lot of fighters with talent, but with no heart. Mounir has both, he has a big combination. He’s been training here at Team Nogueria Dubai and improving his ground game with the best grappling team here. Mounir has impressed me. My job in Brazil is to look for new talent, and when I watch Mounir’s fights, he impresses me. I hope to see him represent this part of the world in the UFC.
Mounir “The Sniper” Lazzez is the head coach of our Kickboxing & Muay Thai at the facility in Dubai. Lazzez has quickly risen up the ranks in the regional MMA circuit, he holds an MMA record of 5 wins and 0 losses with all his victories coming via Knockout. He is the current welterweight champion in the region’s most prominent promotion, Desert Force. He earned his title in March 2015 (Desert Force 16) when he finished opponent Mohammad Ghorabi via TKO.
