Today the World Jiu-Jitsu Children’s Cup, held under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, served as the ultimate opening for the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2015. Three days from now, black belts from all over the globe will meet in Abu Dhabi , The Capital Of JiuJitsu to compete in the 7th WPJJC held in the UAE.
Sadly enough, one of last year’s champions will not be joining the clan. Braulio Estima has recently annouced on social media his withdrawl due to shoulder injury.
I’m very sad to say that I have to withdraw from the world pro 2015 due to shoulder injury during training last Thursday. I was feeling very good that time. I tried everything hopping for a fast recovery but unfortunately I won’t be able to defend my title this year. I can’t even lift my arm. Hopefully next year I will be back. Good luck to everyone competing and I can’t wait to see the fights from my couch eating some popcorns.
Check out one of the most memorable matches at WPJJC 2014 | The final of the light heavyweights between Braulio Estima and Tarcisio Jardim. Watch the video and relive once again the thrills.
