Dubai, UAE – David Bear has made an impressive promotional debut this Monday at the Desert Force 20 event in Dubai. After being away from the cage for almost two years, the French fighter of Algerian origin managed to takedown one of the toughest fighters in the division, Mohammad Ghorabi. Bear (6-0) scored a second round rear-naked-choke, and is now on a 6 fight unbeaten streak.
ArabsMMA.com reporter Zahi Ephrem caught up with Bear backstage to discuss his fight against Ghorabi, and his future plans.
David Bear:
Ghorabi was a very tough opponent. I saw from his previous fights that he is powerful, but I am a complete fighter, and I enjoy facing tough fighters.
When asked about who would he like to face next, David Bear said:
Give me the interim champion, and then give me the champion.
That same night, Fakhreddine was crowned as the new welterweight interim champion after defeating Jarrah Alselawi in an exciting rematch. Calling out Fakhreddine and actually getting this fight could happen but after the heated clash between Mohammad Fakhreddine and Mounir Lazzez that happened inside the cage, its seems like the promotion already has things planned! In a stacked division like this one, David Bear will surely find another opponent lined up for him very soon.
