Desert Force Champ Abzakh Faces Brazilian Opponent at Desert Force 25

Desert Force’s end-of-year card is shaping up! Nawras “The Honey Badger” Abzakh, the first bantamweight champion in Desert Force history will be fighting on the Desert Force 25 card on December 19. After originally being slated for Morocco, the promotion has planned to return to Amman, bringing home a stacked card with big names. The champ, Nawras Abzakh, will face Brazilian Aldir Ramos (3-2) in a non-title fight as part of the main card.

Abzakh made his promotional debut at Desert Force 17 where he submitted Abdelali Hariri in the opening round. In his latest outing to the cage, Nawras faced Jalal Al Daaja for the bantamweight title and sunk in a tight armbar, forcing Al Daaja to tap. Hence, it was Nawras holding the shield at the end of that night.

Now riding a five-fight winning streak, undefeated Nawras Abzakh has 5 out of 8 career wins by 1st round submission (amateur/pro). The Jordanian has clearly manifested that he has what it takes lead the ranks of this division.

Nawras Abzakh is not the only champion fighting at Desert Force 25 for a non-title fight. Likewise, 2-division champion Mohammad Karaki also will be facing opponent Issey Francis in a non-title matchup on that same card.

Aldir Ramos is coming off a loss in his last fight. Yet, his Jiujitsu is top level and all three of his wins came by way of submission. Fans would have expected a different kind of match-up for the newly crowned champion. However, this guy cannot be ruled out of this fight. Duly, the Brazilian will surely showcase some dangerous BJJ in an attempt to win this battle.

Desert Force Al Academiya Season 4 Finale:

Desert Force 25 headliner will pit a light heavyweight rematch between the coaches Osama Al Saeidy and Mostafa Rached. Of course, the night will also feature the Al Academiya’s lightweight and light heavyweight title fights.
