As Mounir Lazzez is set to make his return to the UFC for his third fight with the promotion, the fans are demanding the Tunisian star to be added to the roaster of the video game – EA Sports UFC 4 with its latest update. Lazzez is among the most popular stars in the Middle East, with a huge fanbase in the United Arab Emirates and Tunisia.
Currently, Lazzez (10-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) is set to take on Stolze (12-4 MMA, 0-1 UFC) at a UFC Fight Night event on July 31. Lazzez made an impressive debut in the world’s biggest MMA promotion against Abdul Razak Alhassan in July 2020. However, he faced arguably his only defeat, against Warlley Alves at UFC on ESPN 20 in January.
Lazzez is the first fighter born and raised in an Arab country to sign with UFC. He has finished eight of his 10 professional wins. The welterweight star is currently signed with MTK Global and trains out of the United Arab Emirates.
With the addition, the UFC Fight Night lineup for July 31 includes:
- Bryan Barberena vs. Jason Witt
- Jinh Yu Frey vs. Istela Nunes
- Rafa Garcia vs. Chris Gruetzmacher
- Collin Anglin vs. Melsik Baghdasaryan
- Orion Cosce vs. Phillip Rowe
- Cheyanne Buys vs. Gloria de Paula
- Mounir Lazzez vs. Niklas Stolze
