Floyd Mayweather doesn’t slow down and will make his return to UAE on November 13 for another boxing exhibition. His opponent will be a YouTube star Deji. The bout will take place at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai and it will be handled by Global Titans.
The news broke out less than 48 hours after Mayweather’s most recent exhibition bout against RIZIN fighter Mikuru Asakura this past Saturday in Saitama Super Arena.
In the official press release we can read the boxing great’s statement:
“I am delighted to bring this incredible boxing experience to Dubai. Global Titans will give fans an unrivalled boxing match with a huge undercard. It is an honor to be a part of such an iconic event in an iconic city, and I would like to thank the Global Titans team for reaching out to me and giving back so much to the sport I love.”
His opponent is the younger brother of another YouTube sensation turned boxer, KSi. He made his ring debut back in August 2018 on the undercard part of KSi vs. Logan Paul. Deji lost to Jake Paul, who wasn’t pro then. Content Creator suffered two more losses. His only victory so far came against fellow YouTube personality, Fousey. The two of them fought on the undercard of Misfits Boxing + DAZN: X Series on August 27 at The O2 in London.
Deji had this to say about the upcoming bout:
“Huge thanks to Global Titans and my team for creating this incredible opportunity. “It’s a privilege to be headlining this phenomenal spectacle in Dubai, against the all-time great Floyd Mayweather. This is going to be fun!”
Floyd Mayweather’s return to UAE
As mentioned before ‘Money’ will make his return to the United Arab Emirates. The last time he was scheduled to fight was on May 14 in Dubai. However, the event was canceled due to the passing of UAE president, Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan a day before. It was rescheduled one week later and relocated to Abu Dhabi. Mayweather went the full distance against his former sparing partner, Don Moore.
