Four Arab fighters are looking to forever change the course of their lives at the inaugural Brave Combat Federation 1: The Beginning.
Mohammad Fakhreddine (8-1), Hamza Kooheji (3-1), Ahmed Amir (5-1) and Abdulkreem Al Selwady (5-1) will all look to capitalize on their potential and make a statement in this seminal MMA event on September 23rd.
Embarking on a show of such caliber, where stars could be born and heroes are formed in the consciousness of fight fans, fight night 1 is these men’s shot to register an impression. They are all used to performing well, having honed their skills in Desert Force and already made their impacts respectively. At Brave, these fighters need more than just a victory, they need to turn heads.
Fakhreddine is perhaps the biggest star in the fantastic four, and he will headline the event against undefeated Brazilian Thiago Vieira (8-0). He perhaps carries the most pressure going into Brave “The Beginning“ , as the expectations will be high, because he is a man who always delivers a thrilling show for the fans. He will certainly be facing his biggest test against a man who has obliterated all eight of his opponents, and “The Latest” will need to bring his absolute A-game in this exciting main event.
Unlike Fakhreddine, Al Selwady knows exactly what he’s facing as he competes in a highly anticipated match against Rami Aziz (8-3), who has won seven of his last eight fights and has been verbally teasing Al Selwady for many months. Aziz called-out Al Selwady and believes that beating the former Champion will be his ticket to fame and fortune. Al Selwady, who has spent 15 months developing his wrestling and JiuJitsu skills under Ashraf Shishani, will make his return to the cage at Brave “ The Beginning “ and promises a new and improved version of his former self.
One man who is not lacking in the wrestling and Jiu Jitsu department is Ahmed “The Butcher” Amir (5-1) who will be looking to build upon his four-fight winning streak, all by submission, however he faces an opponent as tricky as they come – grappling master Richie “The Boogeyman” Martinez (3-1). Amir likes to finish his opponents on the ground, but will he be able to claim this almighty scalp against a Brazilian JiuJitsu Black Belt under Eddie Bravo? If he can overcome “The Boogeyman”, Amir will immediately explode into the consciousness of the MMA world, such is the reputation of the renowned Martinez.
The final Arab hopeful Hamza Kooheji (3-1) will fly under the radar going into this event, but he could become the shows biggest star should he prevail at Brave. He is the first Bahraini native to fight as an MMA professional on an international platform and has shown great promise in the early stages of his career. He will be fighting in front of his home crowd, right in his own backyard and it may be the story of the night if he wins in style and raises the roof of Khalifa Sports City on September 23rd.
