The UAE’s Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, one of the most influential figures in Jiu-Jitsu, visited Anderson Pereira’s Icon BJJ gym in Switzerland to roll with the gym’s most decorated fighters yesterday. ArabsMMA caught up with Desert Force champ fighting out of Icon BJJ, Aziz Julaidan, who commented on the visit:
We were informed that HH Shiekh Tahnoun is in Geneva and wants to train BJJ, I was so excited to meet and roll with him. Sheikh Tahnoun is a black belt in BJJ so We gathered All our advanced BJJ fighters.
At first we warm up then we grappled, he rolled with everyone in the team, before showing us some techniques and giving us advice. He is a truly humble and friendly person and of course a beast on the matts. It was a honorable experience for me and my team. And we are thankful for his visit.
