ICFC – Iraqi Combat Fighting Championship has announced that its upcoming event which takes place in Iraq, Baghdad on September 28 will feature a multi-martial arts fight card that includes professional MMA bouts, professional Muaythai bouts and Kyokushin Karate exhibition matches.
Hakki Shebli theater, Baghdad Tourist Island will be host to this one of a kind fight night organized by the Iraqi MMA Association in collaboration with various martial arts federations.
Local MMA stars will headline the MMA card as Ahmed Saeb (2-3) takes on M1- veteran Maksim Melnik (5-4) in a welterweight bout. Also Hussein Salem (4-3) from Iraq, known for his forward pressure and lethal muaythai skills will face Pouraya Golpour who fights out of Iran.
Fighters from Russia, Iran, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq will take part of this martial arts carnival.
“From the beginning of our national expansion, self-development and self-belief has always played an integral part in our growth,” ICFC President Raed Jamil Abbas said. “Following 9 successful events, and despite all the hardship, our goal is to make ICFC 10 the biggest martial arts evet to take place on Iraqi soil.
