Jordan Amateur Championship’s 7th installment went underway tonight, Friday May 6, 2016 at the Sports City Arena, Amman, Jordan. What was initially set as an 8 fight event ended up with 7 bouts after Fares Eldawimah’s opponent failed to make weight on several attempts. The event was headlined by a lightweight bout between Nart Abida Abzakh versus Hisham Al Daaja, ending with an impressive 1st round armbar submission by Team Narmouq’s Abida. The card also saw successful performances from three of Ezzedine Al Derbane’s amateur products. Al Derbane was lately crowned featherweight interim champ at Desert Force Championship after knocking out cold his opponent less than a minute into the first round. Seem’s like he’s doing a legit job as a coach too.
