KHK Sports have announced the launch of KHK Boxing after a year of operation by Brave Combat Federation. His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, President of Bahrain Athletics Association officially launched KHK Boxing.
The inaugural event for KHK Boxing will be held on 9 December, 2017 at Gimno Desportivo arena in Praia, Cape Verde. The main event will feature the championship title fight for the title African Heavyweight Champion. Faisal Arrami from KHK Boxing will face Junior Maximus to compete for the championship title. Faisal Arrami will face Tshibuabua Kalonga “Junior Maximus” for the Heavyweight African Champion title.
Tshibuabua Kalonga has an unbeaten record of 7 victories of which 4 came by way of knockouts. Meanwhile Faisal Arrami is the title of champion of France in the light-heavyweight category in 2011 and African Champion ABU light heavyweight in 2009. Arrami has 18 victories out of 24 appearances out of which 10 came by way of knockouts. The initiative marks the second major investment in combat sports launched by the Bahrain.
