With less than three weeks left until Desert Force “Against the World” taking place in Dubai , rumor has it that one of the participants is injured.
Anas Siraj Mounir aka “The Moroccan Sensation” was supposed to be making his Desert Force debut against Bechir “Shinobi” Majri from Tunisia but it was heard through the grapevine that Majri was forced to pull out due to shoulder injury at his training camp with Team Quest. Mounir will instead be fighting against Ali “The Kid” Ahli (3-0) from the UAE who comes back to the cage after almost 2 years to regain his position as one of the best Arab Welterweights. Ahli was away from the cage for a while, but was always on the mats building his Jiu Jitsu and all around game at Nogueira gym, waiting for this day!
When asked about the changes in opponents, Anas Siraj Mounir mentioned to ArabsMMA that:
It happened to me so many times I’m used to it now, at the dungeon we train all aspects of MMA with our coach Aaron Naisbet so we need to be ready for any type of fighter
It happens a lot in mma it’s a tough sport and injuries are bound to happen
