Malik Basahel vs Harsh Pandya.

Kicking the action off, Saudi Arabia’s own Malik Basahel put on a dominant performance, defeating India’s Harsh Pandya by unanimous decision in an amateur Flyweight showcase bout to improve to 19-2-1 in his amateur career. Malik Basahel def. Harsh Pandya by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 30-27, 29-28)

Abdelrahman Alhyasat vs Ahmed Tarek.

In the first Featherweight bout of the PFL MENA season, Jordan’s Abdelrahman Alhyasat outworked Ahmed Tarek of Egypt to win by unanimous decision and advance to the Semi Finals. Alhyasat improved to 4-0 in his professional career. Abdelrahman Alhyasat def. Ahmed Tarek by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 30-27, 29-27)

Maraoune Bellagouit vs Mido Mohamed.  

Further action in the Featherweight division saw Morocco’s Maraoune Bellagouit land a powerful left hook in the third round to knock out Egypt’s Mido Mohamed in the third round and move on to the Semi Finals. Bellagouit’s. Maraoune Bellagouit defeats Mido Mohamed via TKO Round 3. 

Hattan Alsaif  vs Nada Faheem.

In the first women’s bout of the evening, an action packed, yet short affair occurred between Hattan Al-Saif and Nada Faheem. Al Hattan would end the first round taking Nada’s back and almost sinking in the rear naked choke. She would then proceed to get a brutal head -kick knockout KO in the 2nd round to close the show. Hattan Alsaif  defeats Nada Faheem by KO in Round 2.

Elias Boudegzdame vs Hassan Mandour 


In the grappling -heavy technical bout between bantamweights; Elias Boudegzdame and Hassan Mandour, it would be the elder Hassan who would be leading the first half of the bout. In the 2nd round Mondour would rally and get a beautiful guillotine choke from the bottom to get the tap from Mandour, giving the 30 year old Algerian fighter the win. Elias Boudegzdame defeats Hassan Mandour by Guillotine Choke Round 2.  

Jalal Al Daaja vs Tariq Ismael 


In a spirited battle, between bantamweights,  Tariq Ismail and Jalal Al Daaja, the first round was quite close, with both men pressing the action in different moments of the bout. The 2nd would also start similarly with Tariq scoring big takedowns and then controlling the rest of the round with ring control, striking, more grappling and strong clinch work too. By the 3rd round, both men were visibly tired, but Tariq Ismael seemed like the fresher fighter, even landing a crisp 1-2 straight combination on the exhausted Al Daaja. Even still, it was quite difficult to determine an out right winner; in the eyes of the judges and the bout was deemed a stalemate. Jalal Al Daaja vs Tariq Ismael (Majority Decision Draw)

Islam Reda vs Adam Meskini 

In the featherweight bout between Islam Reda and Adam Meskini both men would press early, switching roles from being aggressor and counter fighter early on. As Round 1 progressed, Islam would get a sensational takedown demonstrating his superior strength and grappling technique to the 27 year old French-men. When the fight transitioned to the feet , though, it was Meskini who looked like the cleaner striker. In Round 2, Meskini would impose his striking game plan early, but Reda would then control the remainder of the bout for the remainder of the contest and even threatening with dangerous submission events.  Islam Reda defeats Adam Meskini via Unanimous Decision. 30-29, 29-28. 29-28). 

Xavier Alaoui vs. Rachid El Hazoume 

Round 1 would start fairly even, Rachid would get knocked off balance with a strike and Alaoui would take over for most of round 1. The Spanish-born fighter would then get a strong judo throw and regain top control to end the round off. Close fight so far. By round 2; both men would get into boxing exchanges with Rachid being worse off, Alaoui would then dive on a guillotine which was very close to finishing the fight and ends in mount. Hazoume would then get the butterfly sweep mount, reverse fortunes for both men and then sink in a deep rear naked choke. Rachid El Hazoume defeats Xavier Alaoui via rear naked choke Round 2.

Ali Taleb vs. Nawras Abzakh


In Round 1, Abzakh would get the first takedown early and proceed to control the bout by attempting to take the back early. Ali would then adjust and stay in the outside, landing clean hooks, uppercut and straights in the 2nd half of the fight and moving his head out of the centre line to avoid counter shots from the , “The Honey Badger”. Both men would end the round in almost a brawling exchange to close out an action packed bout. It would mostly be a striking affair in round 2, Taleb would continue working the outside, landing cleaner boxing combinations and proving he is the faster man between him and his 32 year old Jordanian opponent. In Round 3 ; Abzakh would manage to gain top control on Ali Taleb and win back a consolation round , implementing good top control and scoring late in the fight. Ali Taleb defeats Nawras Abzakh vis Unanimous decision (30-27. 30-27, 29-28)

Abdullah Al-Qahtani vs. Yazeed Hasanain

Al-Qahtani would start this fight in typical Al-Qahtani fashion. He would press the action with an aggressive forward pressure clinch even dropping Yazeed with a big left hook. He would also look for multiple takedown attempts and overall, he was in complete control of round 1. All Al-Qahtani in Round 1. In round 2, the Saudi Arabian would continue with his pressure against the 3-0 Jordanian fighter; attempting more back attempts. The fight would then transition to a stand up battle, where Abdullah would land brutalising right and left hands until the referee waved it off late into round 2. Absolute domination by Al-Qahtani! Abdullah Al-Qahtani defeats Yazeed Hasanain via TKO Round 2.
