PFL vs. Bellator: Champs broadcast team is revealed

The forthcoming PFL vs. Bellator: Champs event signifies the commencement of a fresh era for both promotions, accompanied by an entirely new broadcast team.

The event takes place on February 24 at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It will air live on ESPN+, DAZN, and ESPNews. The tickets went on sale just recently.

Following PFL’s acquisition of Bellator, the promotion has assembled a team of analysts and commentators who were previously affiliated with each respective brand.

PFL vs. Bellator: Champs broadcast lineup:

Play-by-play: Sean O’Connell

Former UFC fighter and PFL season winner Sean O’Connell will handle play-by-play duties, a role he has held since the inception of the PFL tournament format in 2018.

Color commentator: Chael Sonnen

“The American Gangster” Chael Sonnen, with prior experience in both PFL and Bellator, will provide color commentary for the event featuring head-to-head fights between the two organizations.

Color commentator: Randy Couture

UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture will also contribute as a color commentator, a role he has fulfilled for years under the PFL banner.

Color commentator: Dan Hardy

Former UFC fighter and analyst Dan Hardy will round out the color commentary team, offering insights and analysis throughout the event.

Rules and scoring analyst: ‘Big’ John McCarthy

Officiating pioneer “Big” John McCarthy transitions from his previous role as Bellator color commentator to the position of rules and scoring analyst. He will provide real-time insights into potential regulatory developments.

Reporter: Amanda Guerra

Joining from the Bellator brand, Amanda Guerra will handle reporting and interviews from backstage and within the crowd.

Ian Parker will provide expertise in sports betting, a role he has previously undertaken for the UFC and PFL.

Betting analyst: Jonathan Coachman

Longtime sports personality Jonathan Coachman will also break down the betting lines. He will also make good use of his experience as an on-air talent for WWE and a pre-show analyst for PFL.

As the PFL-Bellator era unfolds, a new broadcast team has been unveiled, including cage announcer Andy Shepherd, formerly of the Bellator European Series.
