Phoenix Fighting Championships returns to Thailand once again today, 22nd of May. This will be their second back to back Muay Thai show in Thailand, this time they will be making their debut at Lumpinee Stadium.
Phoenix 8 is a stacked event, with two Phoenix world title fights, and one Lumpinee Stadium middleweight strap on the line. Current Phoenix heavyweight champion, Yassine Boughanem defends his title against the Veteran challenger, James Mcsweeney. England vs. Morocco in this one! Fighting for the vacant Phoenix welterweight world title is the current Lumpinee stadium welterweight (147lbs) champion Rafi Bohic who takes on Pongsiri from PK Saenchai gym in what has the makings of another bloodied war between these two modern day ring warriors.
In the most anticipated fight of all, Moroccan warrior Youssef Boughanem faces Thailand’s danger-man, Talaytong Sor Tanapetch, for the vacant Lumpinee stadium middleweight (160lb) championship title. Youssef is the current Rajadamnern stadium middleweight champion who will look to make history if he overcomes formidable Talaytong in becoming the first ever non-Thai to hold prestigious Lumpinee and Rajadamnern titles, simultaneously.
