The new Indian-based MMA promotion “Kumite 1 League” debuts with a card that will have plenty of recognizable faces and compelling matchups from top to bottom.
Toyam Industries, in partnership with the All Indian Mixed Martial Arts Federation (AIMMAF) and powered by a world-class brand Ambassador, Boxing legend Mike Tyson, “K1L” will be scheduling a perfect blend of thrilling bouts for September 29 at the NSCI Dome in Worli, Mumbai

Kantharaj Agasa vs. Amer El Shawnshiry
The undefeated Indian prospect Kantharaj Agasa returns to the cage against Egyptian talent Amer El Shawnshiry (6-2) possibly headlining the main card. Agasa known for his impeccable grappling skills has fought 3 times this year, with his last win coming in March against Roshan Mainam. El Shawnshiry comes into this fight with a loss yet a scary 5 win by TKO on his record. This one is going to be ILL!
Leonardo “Buscape” Silva vs. Paulo “Bananada” Da Silva.
Here’s a bout with a lot of meat on it, as American Top Team and former UFC contender Leonardo “Buscape” Silva takes on Brazilian MMA veteran Paulo “Bananada” Da Silva. Both fighters have taken on very seasoned and talented opposition, making this contest a highly anticipated one. It’s experience vs. experience as these two high level Brazilian fighters, who were once teammates meet in the Kumite 1 League cage this September.
Mohamed Farhad vs. Amr Abdel Malek
Mohamed Farhad, a super star in India and a familiar name on the Middle Eastern MMA scene, after competing under Brave CF is set to take on Amr “Totti” Abdel Malek. Farhad famous in finishing fights early looks to represent India in a unique fashion as he takes on one of Egypts most experienced featherweights in “Totti”.
Hayder Hassan vs. Haitham Al Sayed
Known as the “Arab Mike Tyson” and having competed in the most elite MMA promotions such as UFC, StrikeForce and Titan FC, Hayder Hassan is known to put on a show and hunt for the KO. He takes on a seasoned Haitham “Tantawy” Al Sayed (10-4) in a welterweight bout that surely won’t go the distance. Hassan is famous for knowing out Joe “Daddy” Stevenson, “Tantawy” has never been defeated on Egyptian soil, finishing 9 out of his 10 wins.
The event will also feature familiar names for the Middle Eastern MMA scene such as: Ahmed Al Darmaki, Mohamed Gamal, Hardeep Rai and many more.
The event will be aired Live on Sony ESPN and PVR Cinemas.
