UAE Warriors 39 is the second event in an upcoming triple header. The festivities will begin on march 17 with UAE Warriors 38: Africa 5, and will follow with UAE Warriors 40: Arabia 10 following on march 19th. A featherweight bout between Mochamed Machaev and Bagdos Olzhabay will headline the international fight card.
UAE Warriors 39 main event: Mohamed Machaev vs. Bagdos Olzhabay
Machaev sports an impressive 12 – 1 MMA record. The Austrian fighter started his career back in 2017. He stacked a ten-fight winning streak in both XFN and BRAVE CF. However, it was put to an end by Gamzat Magomedov at BRAVE CF 52. Since then ‘The Beast’ bounced back winning his next two bouts. That includes a first-round submission win over Ahmed Faress. Now Machaev will make his promotional debut.
The Kazakh fighter has a similar, 13 – 3 record. He made a name for himself on the Asian MMA circuit. Like his opponent, he’s also a promotional newcomer with a five-fight winning streak. It’s worth mentioning that four of these victories are submission wins.
Vinicius de Oliveira vs. Hikaru Yoshino
In the co-main event, fans will witness a bantamweight clash between Vinicius de Oliveira and Hikaru Yoshino.
The Brazilian has a 17 – 3 MMA record and is a former UAE Warriors bantamweight champion. He captured the championship gold in the midst of his six-fight winning streak. Firstly Oliveira won the title by stopping Xavier Alaoui at UAE Warriors 18. Afterward, he successfully defended it by submitting Sylvester Chipfumbu. Finally, both his title reign and winning streak ended at the hands of Ali Taleb back in July of 2022.
Yoshino is a veteran of the Japanese MMA circuit. Winning 9 out of 11 of his fight ‘The Painter’ has consequently made his way to RIZIN. There he beat Daisuke Endo. He also fought a few times inside the circular ONE championship’s cage. The Japanese fighter currently enjoys a four-fight winning streak. His most current victory was a decision win over Djamal Rustem at UAE Warriors 34.
Ahmed Sami vs. Amir Fazli
In another interesting matchup, Ahmed Sami will trade blows with Amir Fazli.
The Egyptian fighter has a 9 – 2, 1 NC record. ‘Lee’ currently rides a two-fight winning series. In his sole UAE Warriors appearance he was awarded a decision win over Yousri Belgaroui.
‘The Prince’ also enjoys a two-fight winning streak. In his promotional debut, he stopped Mohamad Osseili back in 2022.
