UAE Warriors returns with another doubleheader. The festivities will begin on Friday, May 19th with UAE Warriors 41: Arabia 11 and culminate with UAE Warriors 42. Both events occur at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi and will air on UFC Fight pass.
UAE Warriors 41
Mohammad Osseili vs. Ahmed Sami
The all-Arabian event is headlined by a catchweight bout between Lebanon’s Mohammad Osseili and Egypt’s Ahmed Sami.
‘The Future’ has a 5 – 1 record. He made his professional MMA debut back in 2020. He won his first five fights, four of which took place inside the UAE Warriors cage. However, he was knocked out in his last fight in the very first round by Amir Fazli.
Sami is a little bit more experienced fighter, who sports a 9 – 3 record. During his ten years career, he fought in AUFC and Desert Force promotions before making his way to UAE Warriors. Interestingly enough, his most recent fight was a first-round KO loss to Amir Fazli.
Hussein Salem vs. Mohammed Sadok Trabelsi
Iran’s Hussain Salem has a 10 – 4 record. A Desert Force alumni he made his UAE Warriors debut back in 2020. Since then he won four out of five fights in the promotion. All of his wins in UAE Warriors came by way of submission. He’s currently on three fights winning streak and another victory could put him in the title picture.
Trabelsi is a veteran of the European MMA circuit with an 11 – 7 record. He’s currently suffering a two-fight losing streak, he will be making his promotional debut.
UAE Warriors 42: Ali AlQaisi vs. Jesse Arnett 3
Saturday’s event will mark the third featherweight title bout between the Jordanian and the Canadian. The first fight took place back in July of 2022. It was stopped by the doctor due to a cut that AlQaisi suffered. ‘Royal Fighter’ didn’t take it well as he screamed at both the doctor and the referee. Later he went after the Canadian, who was celebrating. The newly crowned promised him an imminent rematch.
Almost two months later the fans witnessed a second meeting between the two. AlQaisi regained the championship belt by submitting Arnett at one minute and 25 seconds of the third round.
Now the time has come to close the trilogy. In his most recent bout, AlQaisi repeated his feat by submitting Ahmed Faress back in March. On the other hand, Arnett hasn’t been active since his loss to the Jordanian fighter.
