Phoenix Fighting Championship chairman, Chahe Yerevanian, has announced the birth of “Phoenix X Warrior”, the new MMA reality TV show.
With four events in the books, and an upcoming scheduled Muay Thai card set for Bangkok on the 26th of February, Phoenix president Chahe Yerevanian has yet again shook the foundation of the Mixed Martial Arts scene in the Middle East. In a post that he shared on his social media, Yerevanian announced the starting date of the filming process of Phoenix X Warrior, the new upcoming Arab MMA fighter reality show.
Though Phoenix Fighting Championship is relatively young as a promotion, it helped revive the sport of MMA in the Arab region. Through this new show, Phoenix will give several fighters the opportunity to showcase their skills and make it to the top level of MMA competition. Following the footsteps of the Arab reality MMA shows like Al Batal and Desert Force Al Academia, both of which have had some admirable TV time success, most Arab MMA fans already expect “Phoenix X Warrior” to be the biggest regional MMA reality show that is yet to come in promoting regional MMA fighters.
32 fighters from all over the Middle East and North Africa, split into 2 divisions Lightweight & Welterweight will live, eat, train and fight under one roof for 2 months. Viewers will be able to follow them in their daily lives and training sessions as they prepare to compete against each other with the aim of becoming the “Phoenix X Warrior” and signing a prized contract with Phoenix Fighting Championship.
All this will be brought to you in 12 episodes on the leading regional Channel.
Each team will be led by a coach that will do his best to ensure victory for his fighters. One of the coaches will be none other than Mounir “The Sniper” Lazzaz, the welterweight fighter that Yerevanian believes to be on a different level than all others in the Middle East. For the meantime, there is a large pool of world-class welterweight fighters that we can speculate will face Mounir Lazzaz on the show!
