Tahar Hadbi Wants Brave Interim Title Bout Against Jarrah Al-Silawi

Since his victory over Mohammad Fakhreddine a few weeks ago at Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises which took place in Jordan, Tahar Hadbi is already expecting to be booked for another big match-up soon.

The fight between Tahar Hadbi vs Mohammad Fakhreddine was one of the most anticipated fights in the history of Arab mixed martial arts. After their original match at Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions ended with a no-contest due to an accidental illegal low blow that Hadbi delivered to Fakhreddine, the bad blood between the two heated up even more, boiling to their climatic rematch at Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises.

In the rematch, Hadbi was able to finish Fakhreddine in the 2nd round via standing TKO due to a barrage of repeated and un-answered strikes, earning himself an unforgettable victory against the Arab mixed martial arts superstar. Now that what’s done is done, Hadbi wishes Fakhreddine well and is focused on what lies ahead in his scope of vision.

Tahar Hadbi: “I’m back home in Paris. It’s been like 2 weeks after my fight against Mohammad Fakhredine in Jordan. I hope that all the fans enjoyed the show! It was a great victory for me, and now I wish all the best to Fakhreddine. Now, I’m going to concentrate on the future, my future.”

According to Hadbi, a bout that pits him against Jarrah Al-Silawi is something that he is now looking forward to. Al-Silawi locked up an amazing last second triangle choke submission finish against David Bear, who happens to be Hadbi’s team-mate. The fight was considered by many as the fight of the night of Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises at Jordan, being closely contested for all 3 rounds until Al-Silawi was finally able to put the capstone on it. However, Hadbi is motivated to avenge his team-mates loss and knows that a win over Al-Silawi will launch him vertically up the Arab welterweight rankings to possibly become the number 1 ranked welterweight in the region.

Tahar Hadbi: “I think my future is to fight against Jarrah Al-Silawi for two reasons. First, he now has 4 victories and is ranked as the number 1 welterweight in the Middle East, with me being number 2. Second, he just beat my teammate and I have to avenge him.”

A bout between Hadbi and Al-Silawi is no doubt a fight that many Arab fans will look forward to see. Can you imagine if this fight was for the Brave CF welterweight title?! Hadbi explains that a fight against Al-Silawi for the Brave CF interim welterweight title makes perfect sense, especially with the current Brave CF welterweight champion, Carlston Harris, being out of action due to an injury for the time being.

Tahar Hadbi: “Carlston Harris is injured, so a fight against Silawi makes sense. Let’s do this for the interim welterweight belt. I hope that all the fans want to see this fight.”

On another note, Tahar Hadbi is also being called out for a fight by a well-known veteran of the sport, Karl Amoussou. Amoussou, the latest addition to Brave welterweight division has fought all around the in internationally recognized promotions that include M-1 Global, Cage Warriors and Bellator, has recently put pen to paper with Brave CF. Amoussou is taking a crack at Hadbi, trying to grab a match against a fighter who is now riding a large wave of success. Hadbi believes that Amoussou should focus on getting back to the winning column and at least make a successful debut at Brave CF before requesting to fight the potential title challenger.

Tahar Hadbi: “I heard that Karl Amoussou called me to fight. This guy just came to Brave CF and he’s coming off a loss. He doesn’t interest me now. Win a fight in Brave CF and then we will talk, but now you have 1 defeat.”
