The Former ADCC, PRIDE and BJJ CHAMPION offered a seminar this weekend at Team Nogueira Dubai. Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd at 5:00 pm. Friday was Gi and Saturday No Gi and MMA.
Ricardo “The Brazilian Tiger” Arona is a three time ADCC World Champion and is the only person in the history of the ADCC to remain undefeated, whilst maintaining a flawless scorecard. Arona was at Team Nogueira Dubai teaching BJJ, No GI and MMA Seminar to people living in the UAE giving focusing on essential tips & techniques ahead of the Abu Dhabi World Pro’s this April.
In an interview with Fighting Lifestyle UAE, Ricardo Arona talks about his experience in the United Arab Emirates and how he feels to be back there:
“I competed in Abu Dhabi at the ADCC in 2000 and 2001, I have experienced some amazing moments and great feelings while competing here. I would like to keep coming here, as it is a great place for the sport. As you know Abu Dhabi is the birthplace of the ADCC and this is where it all started. This is where I came and became champion. It is a very special place for me. So I am very happy to be here.”
Being aware of the benefits of Jiu Jitsu in terms education, respect, discipline, and bringing up a better society, Arona has thanked the Emirati officials for the great efforts they have put in promoting the sport of Brazilian Jiujutsu in the United Arab Emirates.
