Abdelali Mouira has suffered an ankle break during his training camp for his upcoming fight on the Desert Force card in Bahrain on the 7th of Bahrain and has withdrawn himself from the competition. This effectively left Hamzah Nafush without an opponent for the event in what would mark his 2nd fight under the promotion.
Desert Force officials however had an ace up their sleeves and have unearthed a new comer to the promotion who has been waiting patiently to get back into the Octagon. Mohammad Yahya, an Emirati fighter who last fought in Dubai Fighting Championship way back in November, 2012, was keen to jump onto the chance as soon as he spoke with Desert Force officials.
Unofficially, Desert Force had planned to bring him in to the promotion for either their March of April cards but their plans were expedited with the injury sustained by Mouira. Yahya has a 2-0 record and is one of the tallest 70KG fighters in Desert Force with substantial Muay Thai skills. This should prove to be one heck of an intriguing match up!!!
