Given the often brutal and aggressive nature of MMA, it’s not surprising that those who plan to step into the cage rarely lack the motivation that it takes to train hard. Undoubtedly, very few athletes in any sport train as frequently or with as much intensity as combat sport athletes. Arabs MMA had the chance to interview one of the rare Arab MMA fighters that excelled locally and internationally, and still moving forward to reach his dreams in this sport.
His fighting style depends on the spur of the fight , mention Abdullah ,wherever the fight goes he feel comfortable. He finished his last fight at the Desert Force Championship in September Via Submission , yet his career is almost evenly matched submissions and TKO’s.
Miami’s MMA masters are currently hosting “The Hooligan” at their facility , Abdullah feels that all this training will definitely get him ready for his upcoming fight .
Hooligan loves is always up for a challenge , We asked Abdullah if he had the chance to choose his next adversary, who it would be and why? He picked George Saint Pierre and the reason was simple, what is a bigger challenge than going against the top fighter of his weight class?
“I don’t have any inspiration. I inspire myself” says a very definitive Abdullah.
Getting into specifics, Abdullah revealed that he has no preferred strike or submission; it all depends on the spur of the fight. He finished his last fight at the Desert Force Championship in September Via Submission, yet his career is evenly matched submissions and TKO’s. Miami’s MMA masters are currently hosting “The Hooligan” at their facility, Abdullah feels ready for his upcoming fight. We asked Abdullah if he had the chance to choose his next adversary, who it would be and why? He picked George Saint Pierre and the reason was simple; Hooligan loves a challenge, and what is a bigger challenge than going against the top fighter of his weight class?
When asked what seperates him from other fighters, Abdullah answered with a smile: “I’m not sure, I’m Abdullah and they aren’t” .
Delving into technicalities, we wanted a glimpse of his training routines. Believe it or not, Hooligan is as dedicated as dedication gets; he trains every single day of the year, training twice a day before a fight. We wanted to know whether Abdullah has attended fights in our part of the world and in what regions had he already fought in. Jordan and Abu Dhabi were lucky to host him. After losing his fight in ADFC Abdullah went on to win the next 4 out of 5 fights in his career.
I would like to thank ArabsMMA for this interview. I will be fighting in Australia next April, stay posted to ArabsMMA news.
