Amir prior to Brave 9: “Ill be the bigger and faster fighter”

Brave Combat Federation has officially confirmed that Egypt’s Ahmed Amir will be fighting on the Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions fight card taking place this November. Holding a professional record of 7 wins and 1 loss, Amir will tap into the lightweight division when he steps into the cage this November.

Ahmed Amir made his Brave CF debut exactly one year ago when he battered USA’s Richie Martinez. He then fought at Brave CF 4 last April when he defeated former Conor McGregor training partner Kevin Kodolbsky via technical submission.

In a message shared with ArabsMMA previously, Amir revealed his plans to shift divisions, and made it clear that he is eyeing the title and nothing else. The Egyptian believes he has far better chances of earning a belt in the lightweight division.

“Dropping weight has never been a big problem for me, I am a professional, and that is part of my job. My main focus was to get a prestigious belt, I think the lightweight division has more room for that, since the championship belt is still vacant. I will be the bigger, faster man and things will go my way inshalla.”

The hopeful prospect promises to put on a show at the November event, in a promotion that he prides himself on:

“It is a remarkable opportunity for me to be part of the Brave International Combat Week in Bahrain. I would love to use this opportunity to represent the Arab world and to prove our sporting excellence. The growth of MMA was systematic and dynamic in the Middle East due to the intervention of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The current status of the sport is focused on the development of the athletes. Any support that athletes of Middle East receive is valuable and it helps them to highlight the pride and legacy of the Arab World”, said Amir.

His opponent is yet to be announced. Stay tuned.

Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions is set to take place on November 17th, at the Khalifa Sports City Arena. The event will highlight the International Combat Week alongside the IMMAF World Championships which will also take place in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
