A featherweight bout between Ali Al Qaisi from Jordan and Jaures Dea of Cameroon is slated for Phoenix 6.
Both Al Qaisi and Dea made an impressive promotional debut at Phoenix 4 and matching them up for Abu Dhabi event looks great on paper!
Phoenix 6 takes place on April 5 at Du Forum, Abu Dhabi, UAE. The event is headlined by a middleweight title fight between Mohammad Karaki and Sallaheddine Dekhissi. Hayder Hassan and Pavel Kusch will co-headline the event.
In his last fight, Ali Al Qaisi (3-3-0) took on the former Desert Force Al Academia Season 2 reality show Bantamweight finalist Philippe Massoud at Phoenix 4 in Dubai. Though the fight was closely contested on paper, Al Qaisi earned a decisive victory by finishing Massoud off in the second minute of the first round via an arm in guillotine choke, thus achieving the successful Phoenix debut that he was hoping and training hard for. Despite the fact that Al Qaisi usually fights in the bantamweight division, Al Qaisi will challenge himself in this fight and take on an opponent of a naturally larger weight class.

Still climbing up the Mixed Martial Arts ranks, Jaures Dea made a powerful Phoenix debut by finishing off Ali Choucair via standing TKO in the 2nd round at Phoenix 4 in Dubai. At Phoenix 6 Abu Dhabi, Dea will be dropping down from the Lightweight division to make his Featherweight debut against Al Qaisi. Dea has yet a lot to learn and a victory against Al Qaisi, a man who is experienced as a Sanda striker and an MMA fighter will give him just what he needs to keep moving forward.
