Fakhreddine the challenger will now be facing “AL Batal” reality show winner Thabet Agha in a 5 round fight for the Desert Force Interim Middleweight Title.

Hashem is still the Middleweight Champion of Desert Force and one of Desert Force’s most popular fighters… yet Fakhreddine is a legitimate contender and is in line for a title, however, Fakhreddine will be fighting for the INTERIM MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE against Thabet. Thabet is a solid opponent that has a 5 fight win streak and is red-hot at the moment having climbed up the ranks of Amateur organizations in the Arab region. This is a fight that will generate a lot of interest in the Arab world of MMA and will make for one strong Title unification fight when Hashem is back.
For those not familiar with the term “Interim Title”, occasionally, the champion of a particular weight division (in this case Hashem Arkhagha) is temporarily unable to defend his championship because of medical, legal, or other reasons that are beyond the champion’s control. When this case occurs, two highly ranked contenders will fight for the interim championship (in this case Fakhreddine and Agha) of the same weight division—leading to two champions existing in the same weight division simultaneously. Once the world champion is able to return, he must fight against the interim champion. The winner of this bout reunifies the weight division as sole world champion. If the world champion cannot return or moves to a different weight division, the interim champion becomes the Desert Force champion.
